I’m not gonna listen to what the past says, I’ve been waiting up all night /

Take another drag turn me to ashes / Ready for another lie? / Says he’s gonna teach me just what fast is / Say it’s gonna be alright /

Hiiiii! I don't even know where to begin, so many exciting things I want to share with you all. I am extremely scatterbrained so excuse the fact that I am all over the place. This week has been amazing and was quite enlightening for me in many aspects. I am starting to perceive things differently and "broadening my horizons" if you will. I feel like I am finally growing up and not scared of becoming an adult and all the responsibilities that come with it. I'm seeing all of the things about myself that I would like to change or improve, the things I HAVE improved, and realizing what type of person I want to become. Nothing less than myself, but I want to be the best me I can possibly be. I also realize I am growing out of a lot of things, when it comes to music, certain styles and things like that. Earlier tonight (well considering it's 4:24 a.m. I guess that was last night) I went to a retirement party for my exceedingly successful grandma who....well she basically ran shit. However, she just turned 70 and they forced her to retire. They need someone "younger and sharper" *rolls eyes*. I know that this is difficult for her because she is the type of person who needs to have responsibilities and expectations from people in order to feel complete/whole or up to par of who she wants to be. Does that make sense? I can't think of a good word, but you get what I mean. Anyway, back to the point; While I was there I had seen people I haven't seen in years...some I hadn't seen in a couple months; but for the first time I genuinely felt they looked at me as an adult and now some wild girl anymore. I felt respected on a much higher level. I feel that I carried myself well and has truly interesting and intellectual things to converse about. I find it easier to talk to older people vs people my age, but I used to feel that I had no accomplishments in my life or anything to be proud enough to share with them. Basically, I GREW THE FUCK UP & I AM EXTREMELY PROUD OF MYSELF. There I said it. Okay enough about that, in case you were like "okay bitch shut up" lol - On to better things. In my previous post I said I was going to show you my purchases from the thrift store. I am remarkably pleased with my findings. One of the main reasons I went was to start my hunt for items (especially little trinkets) to start the process of redecorating my room. Due to the fact that I am particularly indecisive and seeing as I like a wide variety of styles. I like to mix different looks. That way I can have the best of...all of "my worlds". I will have more infortmation on that in an upcoming post. For now, I am collecting things that pertain to film "The Virgin Suicides" Nostalgic, dreamy, girly, a magical like feel. Lots of pastel colors and fancy little things. I have always been into that look and have a love for tchotchke things. Some things others consider ugly. So I went to thrift store, which is the best place to find these things. I am in the middle of redoing my entire room and having lots of shelves put up, so I will post pictures when it's done. The icing on the cake was receiving Tavi Gevinson's - "Rookie Yearbook One". I haven't actually sat down and read it but I flipped through it several times. Tomorrow that is my plan and I will post a review when I am finished. I did look at all the images on just about every page and skimmed through some of the writing though. Based on what I seen, it is incomparable to anything I have ever seen (I kept thinking "omg this looks like something I would make") It is one of the finest and most visually appealing books I have ever seen. It is literally everything that tickles my fancy! I felt majorly inspired afterwards. So thank you Tavi!  Oh by the way, I am really into dark lipstick at the moment and I finally  did my hair like Lana! It came out amazing! Maybe I'll show a tutorial next week! I have so many future post ideas it's nearly driving me insane (in a good way). So if you are enjoying my blog, just wait and see what's coming up <3

Enough words, Now on to the the things that makes your pupils dilate<3

Oh yeah, I started a collage and came into possession of  an amazing gold leaf thesaurus in mint condition (I have a thing for words) and "Practical Problem Solver" it literally has a solution for everything!

In addition to all that, I stumbled upon some quite exquisite pieces.Lots of floral prints, pastels, and of course lots of pink. Strangely and amazingly they all fit me perfect! I spotted something shiny in my peripherals and there it was...an incredible little saks baguette that was practically brand new. I am a girl who loves her ridiculously big purses but this is perfect for a night out. It can add a bit of glamour and boldness to a simple outfit. Then there is the golden tissue box, clearly made for a queen :] - &The shoes...oh my goodness. You see those floral print beauties? While I was exploring I noticed them hiding in the back behind a bunch of things. Clearly they were in the wrong place or someone hid them hoping to come back and get them. (Hey, I'm guilty of it!) and the best part, they were my size and fit perfectly! The white and gold ones are super comfortable and will go with a lot of things. These items make me feel pretty :]

The shorts I made, Which I am so proud of! They turned out amazing. In a month or so I will be selling all different kinds, so if you are interested please email me. I do take custom orders. Summer needs to arrive already!

xoxo
